13th August 2010 Bosco Boys and girls have made us once more proud in the 84th edition of the Kenya National Music Festival taking place in Kakamega . They won the first prize in the category folk dance from other countries by performing a Bagisu Folk Dance from Uganda. Bosco Boys represented Nairobi province in six categories and came 4th in all the other five categories.
Competition was tough with over 80 000 participants from all over the country taking part in various competitions, all hoping to walk away with the top prizes. We have been chosen to perform at the Final Gala which will take place on Sunday 15th August in Kakamega

June 20th 2010 This year's World Refugee Day was celebrated at Nairobi National Museums grounds on Saturday 19th, 2010. The day was graced by the Permanent Secretary Ministry of State for Immigration and registration of Persons Mr. Emmanuel M. Kisombe,CBS.
Don Bosco Planning and Development Office-Nairobi (DBDON) teamed up with refugee students from Don Bosco Kakuma V.T.C who also displayed some of their trade products within the tent that was exclusively marked as the Don Bosco stand.
This is the second time DBDON is actively taking part in this annual event, and this year we took the responsibility for providing Soft drinks (Mineral water and Sodas) to the guests, all participating agencies and present refugees.
The speeches given were all encouraging and the Government plans towards improving the wellfare of the refugees gave a rare hope as every statement was emanating from this year's well selected theme, "They took away my home but they cannot take my future"
Don Bosco stand stood to be the well organised and it attracted many visitors among them His Excellency the Ambassador for Sudan Mr. Majok, Country representative-UNHCR, Country Director- WFP,among many dignitaries.
